The Charon is a brand new ship beginning her first years. Having been assigned to the Delta Quadrant, she can get back to the work the Federation intended; exploration and peace.
For our players we offer support via the academy or through myself and our senior staff. Having taught in various academies I know what new players need and that experienced players don't need to be cradled.
In order to keep our players notified we use the news item system to it's fullest and also sport the different flashing symbols to show our players what alert status we're operating at whenever it changes. This can be seen on the 'Control Panel' page which is only available to players

As of Monday 13th July 2009 we have become a sim with a PG15 rating. This allows the sim to be less discrete and more exciting allowing our players to enjoy themselves more.

After months of thought and scarce activity on my part, after disagreements with the admiralty and having seen friends depart for personal or fleet wide reasons.
I have decided to resign from the command of the USS Charon.
I am not giving up simming entirely, I have decided to start again independently. My own simm under no fleet.
Epsilon Force has changed massively since I joined in the October of 2008. Back then it was fun and very much democratic. I know Starfleet isn't a democracy, but this is for fun and democratic policies make it more fun.
Now EF is for the bureaucrats. I've seen this fleet endure near civil war, huge rows and god knows what else...now it's not the same and isn't fun anymore.
There are too many hypocritical policies and too many exceptions to the laws and procedures have been made for those in senior Fleet Staff positions.
I miss the old Epsilon Force...that's why I'm leaving. Plus I hate the Luna class but EF's specifications make it look like a warship not a science vessel, so I sort of bought a load of crap (but that's my opinion).
I hope to remain in contact with many of you, I respond to emails but am very busy these days so setting up my own simm is going slowly. A few weeks and we'll be in full swing though.
